February Meeting Thank you to…

Nancy Craig & Spring Mill Presbyterian for hosting a wonderful meeting on 2-12-2008. Nancy introduced Club 65-Gym. Whitemarsh residents over 65 years old are invited to join Club 65. February 29 is the deadline for a Full Membership at a discounted price of $175. Note: 2008 WBA Membership Directory will go to print on March 4, 2008. All Full, Associate and Nonprofit members will be listed in the directory. Dues must be paid by February 29th to be listed in the directory.

Promotional Items

To promote your business in 2008, you will need at least 100-250 promotional items.
The promotional items will be used at the following programs or events:
Welcome Wagon, Whitemarsh Wellness Wednesdays, Whitemarsh Township Day and the Fall Pumpkin Festival.

Orders for promotional items will be taken at our March meeting. If you need promotional items, please contact:

Whitemarsh Township Welcome Wagon - Deadline: March 17, 2008

New Township Program
Welcome Wagon baskets will be delivered to new homeowners by a Township representative starting March 2008.The basket will be filled with the new Township Map, WBA Membership Directory & WBA member business promotional items or discount coupons.

** 30 promotional items needed by deadline.


Township Map

New Township Program
The official 2008 Whitemarsh Township Street & Road Map will be completed and ready for distribution on 3/25/08. The Map will include the township and surrounding communities. Vital township information and history of Whitemarsh Township will be included. The Map will be mailed to all residents of Whitemarsh Township. Distribution will also include local Retailers, Commercial and Industrial Prospects, Welcome Wagon, Relocation Packets, Realtors, Police & Township Building. WBA businesses have paid ads in the Map.


2008 Scholarship Award Applications

We are proud to offer a College Scholarship Fund for Whitemarsh Township High School Seniors. Applications are now being accepted.

Advertising Deadline: April 22, 2008

The WBA currently has a full page business card ad once a month in the THREE InterCounty Newspapers: LH Journal, Plymouth Meeting Journal and Conshohocken Recorder. InterCounty Newspapers are published weekly. We currently have 21 members participating in our ad which runs out in April.

We will expand our ads to include the Whitemarsh Township Enterprise. The Enterprise is published once a month.

*The WBA discounted price for your individual ad is only $25 per ad. This is 40% off the normal ad prices. You can't beat the price!!!

If you are interested in advertising with us for the next 6 months, May 2008 - October 2008, please click here to pay via PayPal and to print out an advertising form which can be either emailed or mailed to us. Your choices are:
  1. 6 months of ads - once a month - $150, InterCounty Newspapers
  2. 6 months of ads - once a month in EACH paper - $300, InterCounty Newspapers & Enterprise
  3. 6 months of ads - TWICE a month in InterCounty & ONCE a month in Enterprise - $450
If paying by check, please include 5 business cards and indicate “Advertising” on the check.

*Note: If you are advertising in InterCounty Newspaper's professional directory for $41 per ad, you may want to cancel that ad.

New Township Program Whitemarsh Wellness Wednesday - New Township Program Beginning May 14, 2008
On the second Wednesday of each month, the Township will hold a "Community Wellness" event. Events will be held at the Township Building, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
May Topic - Physical Fitness & Nutrition.
Sponsored by the WBA.
Speakers: Trainer from Athlete's Advantage and Nutritionist from Woudsma Chiropractic.
WBA member business cards, WBA promotional material and individual WBA business promotional materials will be handed out at this event. 50 promotional items requested from each WBA member.

Whitemarsh 5K Run/Walk: Sponsorship Deadline extended to March 17, 2008
Parks & Rec is looking for WBA businesses to sponsor this event which takes place at Fort Washington State Park on May 17, 2008. Sponsorship cost is $50. Make check out to Whitemarsh Township. Please include two business cards and indicate “5K Run” on the check. Sponsorship includes your business name and logo on the race T-shirt.
