with a reception hosted by Spring Mill Presbyterian Village,
2002 Joshua Rd., Lafayette Hill.

This event is open to the community.

The $1,000 Scholarship Award Recipients for Outstanding Academic Achievement are:
Paul Bily, Phoebe Cornog, Megan Hugnagel, Emily Jedniak,
Michelle Jordan, David Pyle and Philip Weisgold.

$500 Award for Excellence in Art: Brittany Silver.

The above students are from the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Class of 2008.

The Traveling Art Show will be introduced at this event.

Whitemarsh Wellness Wednesdays Kick-off Walk & Workshop
Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Noon to 1 pm: Walk
Walkers meet in the bottom parking lot of Miles Park for a 1.5 mile walk down Germantown Pike. Walk leaders are: Mike Zeock, Kim Woudsma, Missy Weinstein, Nancy Craig & Debbie Lord.

7:00 to 8:30 pm: Workshop: Fit Food…Fit Body
Whitemarsh Township Building 616 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill

WBA member speakers are: Jeff Dube, Sports Performance Director at Athlete's Advantage Training Center and Flavia Herzog, a dietitian and associate of Woudsma Chiropractic. They will discuss fitness and nutrition.

The WBA and Whitemarsh Township are partnering on a wellness education series promoting active and healthy lifestyles. Whitemarsh Wellness Wednesdays (WWW) will be held on the second Wednesday of each month.

Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School Partnerships

The WBA is currently working with the Plymouth-Whitemarsh Art Department to introduce the Traveling Art Show in May of 2008. If you are interested in giving PW art students display space in your businesses, please contact Barbara Asman at twoongo@comcast.net or 610-940-1929.

We need WBA businesses that are interested in participating in the PW Student Internship Program for Fall 2008. If you are interested in hosting an intern from September 2008 - January 2009, please contact Jody Davies at jodydavies@allstate.com. Please include the specific duties that the intern would participate. Deadline has been extended to July 1, 2008.


Advertising Deadline: May 12, 2008

The WBA currently has a full-page business card ad once a month in the THREE InterCounty Newspapers: LH Journal, Plymouth Meeting Journal and Conshohocken Recorder. InterCounty Newspapers are published weekly. We had 21 members participate in our ad that ran in April.

We will expand our ads to include the Whitemarsh Township Enterprise. The Enterprise is published once a month.

*The WBA discounted price for your individual ad is only $25 per ad. This is 40% off the normal ad prices. You can't beat the price!!!

If you are interested in advertising with us for the next six months, May 2008 — October 2008, please click here to pay via PayPal and to print out an advertising form that can be either emailed or mailed to us. Your choices are:
  1. 6 months of ads — once a month — $150, InterCounty Newspapers
  2. 6 months of ads — once a month in EACH paper — $300, InterCounty Newspapers & Enterprise
  3. 6 months of ads — TWICE a month in InterCounty & ONCE a month in Enterprise — $450
If paying by check, please include five business cards and indicate “Advertising” on the check.
